Tecno Seeks to Modernize Website
TECNO and TECNOGAS are long
recognised brands representing quality hobs and hoods
for homes in Singapore. They had their first Electronic
Commerce (EC) website for dealers (B2B), and customers
(B2C) in 2001.
Ncode Consultant was commissioned
by the parent company - Singapore Radio Industry (SRI)
for a complete revamp of their website. After discussions
with SRI, the following key concepts/solutions were
proposed for the new website:
• To create a modernized
look-and-feel
Consumer buying behaviour of household
appliances has shifted over the years, and
aestheticism is now as important as
functionality and performance of the
appliance. Thus, the whole user-experience
(site-friendliness, look and feel, downloading
time, etc) was considered for the new website.
• To change focus from
E-Buying to E
Information. (No more B2B and EC). The
statistics showed that SRI’s dealers are
not
utilizing the website, and consumers often go
to the website for the purposes of research
and information. Thus, Ncode Consultant
proposed shifting the website’s focus to
information-based, making it relevant and
cost-effective for SRI.
• To focus towards Customer-Centric.
A
new section of Customer Care was devised in
order to meet this new service orientation.
Now customers can refer to the website for
Warranty submission, and for tips on
equipment servicing, etc.
Project Conclusion
The new e-branding of the website has brought about
a new dimension to the online presence for the trade
name of TECNO and TECNOGAS. Their customers can identify
and associate the brands with quality, design and service
when they visit the new website. |
