Sales Analysis Improves Sales
and Inventory Operation
Jewellery City Co. Ltd was
set up in 1983 in Hong Kong. In 1990, as part of the
company’s plans to build a stronger presence in
the Asia-Pacific region, they opened the first overseas
branch in Singapore under the name Jewellery City Co.
Pte. Ltd. With a clientele that made up mostly of tourist,
they need a comprehensive sales analysis system to allow
them to implement a very flexible commission scheme
to agents and sales persons; and to manage inventory
better, using trends analysis.
Ncode Consultant studied the
existing system, and re-engineered the workflow of the
system:
• Integration of system
into a web-based
application,
with barcode integrated for
inventory, and
with a POS module customized
for their business
– so as to handle large
number of transactions
concurrently.
• Designed a coding system to track each item,
with barcode
integrated to minimize human
errors. This
also helped to ensure that each
item can be
tracked all the way from purchase
order, shipping,
inventory storage, to sales and
after-sales
service.
• We also revamped the website to a multi
languages website
that supports the brand more
effectively.
Project Conclusion
The Sales Analysis Module helped the management better
understand market and sales trends, hence enabling the
business to operate in an efficient and systematic way
– with frequent adjustment to commission schemes,
and bring in the right products timely. |
