Meeting SGC’s Objective with Website

The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) was established in 2004. Their main objective is to promote bilateral Germany-Singapore trade, advises German and Singaporean companies on investment and market opportunities in Singapore and Germany, respectively, and to assist these companies in developing international business contacts.

In order to support this objective, their website needs to be updated frequently with relevant publications, events and news, archives of events in a timely manner for their registered members.

Ncode Consultant was commissioned to look through the backend and the re-development their entire website using an easier-to-support source code, ASP.Net. We also took over the hosting for better response and support of the website.

Ncode added value by creating a similar website with features familiar to the client and implemented the following:

• Dynamic categories – so that the website is
  even more scalable with ability to add and
  delete categories for new content to be added.
• HTML-Editor integrated to as many pages as
  possible so that pages can be updated easily by
  non-IT personnel. So, they can do updates for
  most of their pages themselves without having
  to rely on external parties.
• Provision of a 1-year support and warranty
  after launch of the website to hand-held SGC
  through the initial re-launch of the website.
