Combining the use of automated robots and RFID/Bluetooth tracking technology, this solution is suitable for operations that require:
(1) frequent collection of dirty laundry to be delivered for washing
(2) frequent collection of clean laundry to be delivered for use.
For example, in a hotel, house keeping staff have to collect hundreds of dirty laundry pieces each day, from bed sheets to pillow cases and towels. All these items have to be collected, sorted, and then delivered to the pick up area for the laundry service to collect them for washing.
Upon returning, all the clean laundry will have to be collected by the house keeping staff, then sorted and delivered back to their respective storage rooms for future use.
Throughout the above operations, the operations also have to keep track of the inventory levels of each item type, to ensure that there is no pilfering, and that all items that were sent for washing were returned.
The whole process is physical and mundane, and can easily be automated in several areas using autonomous mobile robots.
